- VIN (Vehicle Identification Number): A unique identifier for your vehicle.

- Operational Information: Data about your vehicle’s performance, such as speed, engine status, and fuel efficiency.
b. User Data

- Location Data: Information about your location, collected from your mobile phone when paired with the Udo device, to provide location-based features such as vehicle tracking or service center proximity.
c. Device and Usage Data
- Technical Data: Information about your mobile device, such as IP address, operating system, and device type, collected when you interact with our app or Services.
- Usage Data: Information about how you use the Udo device and app, such as feature usage and interaction patterns.
2. How We Collect Information
- Directly from the Udo Device: The device plugs into your vehicle’s OBD-II port and collects vehicle data in real time.
- From Your Mobile Phone: When you pair your phone with the Udo device via our mobile app, we collect user data and location information.
- From You: You provide personal information when you register for our Services, contact us, or interact with our customer support.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- Vehicle Maintenance and Diagnostics: To monitor your vehicle’s health, provide diagnostic insights, and alert you to maintenance needs.
Warranty and Maintenance Plan Eligibility: To track eligibility for warranties or maintenance plans offered through Udo or our Dealer and Service Center network. - Service Improvement: To enhance the functionality and performance of the Udo device and Services.
- Customer Support: To respond to your inquiries, provide technical assistance, and communicate with you about your account or Services.
- Location-Based Services: To offer features such as locating nearby Udo Dealers or Service Centers based on your location.
- Analytics: To analyze usage trends and improve our products and Services.
4. How We Share Your Information
By default, your information is kept private and is not sold to third-party companies outside of the Udo Dealer and Service Center network. We may share your information as follows:
- Udo Dealer and Service Center Network: We share vehicle and user data with our authorized dealers and service centers to facilitate maintenance, repairs, and warranty-related services.
- Service Providers: We may share information with third-party vendors who assist us in operating the Services (e.g., cloud storage providers, analytics providers), but only under strict confidentiality agreements.

Vehicle and user data may be retained to maintain a history of your vehicle’s maintenance and warranty eligibility, unless you request deletion (see Section 9 below).

- Location Data: You can disable location tracking on your mobile device, though this may limit certain features of the Services.
- Opt-Out of Communications: You may opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions in those messages. We may still send you non-promotional communications, such as service-related updates.

Our Services are not intended for individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected such information, we will take steps to delete it promptly.

Note that deletion may impact your ability to use certain features of the Services, such as warranty tracking.

Udo is based in Utah, USA, and your information will be processed and stored in the United States. If you use our Services from outside the U.S., your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located in the U.S., where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. We will notify you of material changes by posting the updated policy on our website or through the Udo app, with the “Last Updated” date revised accordingly.
